Garuda is a mythical bird-like creature that is a prominent figure in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain mythology. In Hindu mythology, Garuda is known as the king of birds and is the vehicle (vahana) of Lord Vishnu. Garuda is depicted as a powerful bird with the head, wings, talons, and beak of an eagle, and the body and limbs of a human.

Garuda is believed to possess immense strength and is known for his speed and agility. In Hindu mythology, Garuda is also revered for his devotion to Lord Vishnu and is considered to be one of his greatest devotees.

According to legend, Garuda was born to Vinata and Kashyapa, who were the parents of many other celestial beings. Garuda’s mother, Vinata, was enslaved by Kadru, the mother of the Nagas (serpents), and was forced to serve her. To free his mother, Garuda performed various tasks, including bringing the elixir of immortality from the heavens.

In Buddhist mythology, Garuda is known as “Suparna” and is depicted as a large bird with the head and beak of an eagle and the body of a human. In Jain mythology, Garuda is known as “Gachchhantara” and is also depicted as a bird-like creature.

Overall, Garuda is a powerful and revered mythical creature in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain mythology and is often associated with strength, speed, and devotion.
