Who was Mandavi in Ramayan?

Mandavi was a character in the Hindu epic Ramayana. She was the daughter of King Kushadhwaja and his wife Queen Chandrabhaga, and the younger sister of Sita, who was the wife of Lord Rama.

Mandavi was married to Ramas’s younger brother, Bharata, who was also one of Lord Rama’s younger brothers. Together they had two sons, Subahu and Shrutakirti.

Although Mandavi’s role in the Ramayana is not as prominent as her sister Sita, she was still a virtuous and noble character who played an important part in the story of Lord Rama’s exile and eventual return to Ayodhya.
