Uttara is a character in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. He was the son of King Virata, who was an ally of the Pandavas. Uttara played a significant role in the Kurukshetra War, which was fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas.
During the war, Uttara was a young prince, and he accompanied his father Virata to join the Pandava army. He was given the responsibility of driving the chariot of Arjuna, the third Pandava brother, during the battle. Uttara displayed immense courage and valor in the war, despite his young age, and fought bravely against the Kaurava army.
One of Uttara’s most significant contributions in the Kurukshetra war was when he was chosen to be the carrier of the divine weapon, the Brahmastra, which was aimed at the Kaurava army. However, he was saved from the deadly weapon by Lord Krishna, who protected him by taking on the form of a charioteer.
Uttara’s character in Mahabharata represents the bravery and courage of the young generation, and how they played a significant role in the war despite their lack of experience.
