Kaikeyi was a character in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. She was one of the wives of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya and the mother of Bharata.
In the Ramayana, Kaikeyi played a significant role in the events leading to the exile of Lord Rama, who was the eldest son of King Dasharatha and the rightful heir to the throne of Ayodhya. According to the epic, Kaikeyi was granted two boons by King Dasharatha for saving his life in a battle. Later, she demanded that her son Bharata be made the king of Ayodhya and that Lord Rama be sent into exile for fourteen years.
Lord Rama, who was deeply devoted to his father and always obeyed his commands, accepted the exile without any hesitation. However, Kaikeyi eventually realized her mistake and regretted her actions. She apologized to Lord Rama and asked for his forgiveness.
Overall, the character of Kaikeyi is complex and controversial. Some view her as a villain who caused Lord Rama’s exile, while others see her as a tragic figure who was misled by others’ influence and desires.
