Why did Vishwamitra ask for Lord Rama to Dasaratha?

Vishwamitra was a great sage and a revered spiritual teacher in ancient India. He played a significant role in the life of Lord Rama and his family.

According to the Hindu epic Ramayana, Vishwamitra approached King Dasaratha, Lord Rama’s father, and requested him to send his sons, Rama and Lakshmana, with him to protect his yajna (sacred ritual) from the demons who were trying to disrupt it. Vishwamitra knew that Rama was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and he wanted Rama to protect him from the evil forces.

Dasaratha initially hesitated to send his beloved sons with Vishwamitra, but he eventually agreed when the sage assured him that Rama and Lakshmana would be safe under his guidance. Vishwamitra then took Rama and Lakshmana to his ashram (hermitage) to train them in warfare and spirituality.

During their stay with Vishwamitra, Rama and Lakshmana encountered and defeated many demons, including Tadaka, Maricha, and Subahu. They also learned many valuable lessons from Vishwamitra, who taught them about the power of devotion and the importance of self-discipline.

In summary, Vishwamitra asked for Lord Rama’s help to protect his yajna from demons, and King Dasaratha agreed to send his sons with the sage. This marked the beginning of Lord Rama’s heroic journey, which eventually led to the defeat of the evil king Ravana and the restoration of dharma (righteousness) in the world.
