According to the Mahabharata, Balarama, who was the elder brother of Lord Krishna, was in Dwaraka during the time of the Kurukshetra war. He did not participate in the war itself but remained neutral, refusing to take sides between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Balarama was a respected figure in both the Kuru and Yadava clans and was considered to be a wise and impartial advisor. He played a crucial role in negotiating peace between the two clans after the end of the war.
